Lively McCabe Entertainment is an entertainment production company headquartered in Northern New Jersey with satellite offices in New York City and Los Angeles. We are industry leaders in the specialized packaging of iconic intellectual property + creative concepts and teams + distribution to produce new stories for theater, television, film, and book publishing.
Led by our founding Co-Presidents Michael Barra and Katie Dietz, each division is made up of dedicated and freelance artists, producers, and educators focused on bringing unique stories to life for diverse audiences.

Michael oversees all development and production for Lively McCabe, including live stage and filmed entertainment, its book publishing imprint, and leads its management company. An MBA and former executive at The Araca Group, Walt Disney Studios and Disney Theatrical Group, Michael previously founded production company Stageworks Media which he successfully sold to private equity firm Rebel Rebel Capital in 2014. Michael has worked extensively in Hollywood and on Broadway and this work can be seen on stages and screens around the globe.
Darnetha Lincoln M’Baye
Creative Development Consultant
Darnetha began her music career at EMI Music Publishing, negotiating deals for TV, film and theater, including ESPN Sportscenter, Oprah Winfrey Show, Sucker Punch, Inglourious Basterds, The Wizard Of Oz, Rock Of Ages, and Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert. After leaving, Darnetha continued working with theater and film producers. Recent work includes Oh Hello, Escape To Margaritaville, and Head Over Heels. Darnetha holds a BA from a Wake Forest University and an MFA from Florida State University.
Co-President | GM, The Drama Department
Katie oversees the educational/enrichment arm of Lively McCabe, and serves as the General Manager of The Drama Department. Her team focuses on incorporating family-friendly brands into drama enrichment programs in classrooms around the country. Katie has been a professional actor for over twenty years in New York and Los Angeles, and over the past decade has transitioned to teaching and directing theater for students in and around New York City. She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College and was a founding member of Off-Broadway's Gotham Stage Company.
Molly Paul is a creative consultant with a background in casting, marketing and arts education. A former professional actress, Molly loves collaborating with artists across all mediums to create groundbreaking art that reaches communities on a local and national level.
